About AHS
Ashland High School (AHS), accredited by the Northwest Accreditation Commission/Cognia, is a comprehensive, four-year high school of approximately 850 students with 55 teaching faculty. Our District qualifies as a USDA Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) site; this means all students in the Ashland School District have access to a free breakfast and lunch.
AHS follows a semester academic calendar with a block schedule that has four 80-minute classes that meet on alternate days. Post-secondary counseling occurs during senior year in our Senior Civics class. Each course has a value of one credit, with 49 credits required to graduate (learn more about our courses from our Course Guide & Forecasting page).
AHS is a member of the 5A-2 Midwestern League with 18 OSAA teams and 7 club sports (learn more about Athletics from our Athletics page). Clubs are a vibrant part of AHS with approximately 32 different clubs available for students (learn more about Clubs, Programs, and Activities from our Programs & Activities page). Our theater and music programs are enhanced by collaborations with a national repertory theater, university music and drama faculty, and a regional Youth Symphony. College credit courses are taught by AHS faculty in partnership with Southern Oregon University and Rogue Community College.

Open Campus
Ashland High School has an Open Campus policy for students during lunch and scheduled out periods. Students are expected to follow all school rules while school is in session. More information on our open campus policy is available in the Student Rights & Policies section
